Synopsis[]
The sun was high, leaving no chance for a shadow. I was working in the fields with Charlie Lucky. I wanted to be done planting flax as soon as possible and hide from the head somewhere in the shade of a tree, but Charlie's work was slack.

When I was done with my part of the field, I had to help Charlie with his work. We sat down on the porch in the shade of a vine to have some rest. I couldn't fight the anger and resentment I felt towards Charlie. "Charlie, what's up? You're not quite yourself these days!" Charlie hung his head. Then he smiled and said that he wanted to propose to Silent Shadow, but could not find a suitable ring. 'This should be a special ring," - he said.
